Our Weekend

Well to start out we left Friday morning to head to Anchorage for some errands...
then about a mile down the road, hit a bit of a detour....
the cement pillar in the median of the road.
Needless to say the truck is now at the repair shop and our necks were sore
for about a day, but everyone was fine otherwise.

We needed to get out and get some fresh air, so we took the girls for a hike.

We live in an amazing place and the scenery is so breathtaking it almost doesn't seem real

We bought these backpacks on craigslist and this was the first time
we used them....they are awesome! We went about three miles and the girls did great,
Megan got out and walked for about the last 1/2 mile.

I tried to get a picture of the frost here...it just keeps growing on things like moss

A pretty eventful weekend, but we're very grateful that the accident wasn't anything serious
and that we're able to enjoy this great place that we are blessed to live in.

Sun Salutation

The sun made it over our mountain this afternoon

More Opinions Needed :)

Okay I made these pillows and now I'm not sure how I feel about them.....

They are mainly to be used with our window seat, which has a dark brown cushion
(pictured above)

but here they are on our couch as well.

Do not be afraid to tell me they are ugly! weird leafy pattern? too bright neon green?
or the most awesomest pillows you've ever seen? :)

Calling all Decorators!

What to do with this mantel.....
As you can see right now it's just cluttered with random things that I don't know
where else to put.

I made this sweet mirror from THIS tutorial, with some added little mirrors

So, what do I do with all that mantel space?? (It's seriously like 6 ft long)

Bathroom Makeover

So, here is my first post of many, to redo the rooms in our house.
This before picture doesn't do the hideous blue color on the walls justice....but it's
the only one I have, so imagine that blue everywhere...and imagine the hideousness of it

and then be blown away by the beauty of the color I picked out :)

Now, I am by no means an interior decorator and as such these pictures are mainly to showcase the paint color....if you have any suggestions for what should go on the wall
above the toilet I'm all ears :)
