Cousins

Once a month we get together with Casey's family and have a little FHE, it's been a lot of fun to watch the kids run around and play.
This is the only shot I could get with the three of them together

Fun kids! :) It's so weird being the Aunt at the family gatherings instead of one of the cousins....being one of the grown ups instead of one of the kids.....

Finished Product

Here is Carter's headstone finally finished. We used an outside furniture varnish on the wood
so hopefully that will last a few years :)

Megan had 'lot's of fun putting her hands in the cement, Addison on the other hand not so much

I found this tutorial for making GAK HERE. It is super cool and easy. Entertained Megan for over an hour :) you can add food coloring too

And be careful, it sticks to your clothes :)

My Little Guy

In honor of Memorial Day we decided to make a new headstone for Carter's grave. When he passed away we wanted something more personal and not so permanent to mark his grave, instead of the traditional cold granite, (not to mention the cost). With his first one we used crafters' modge podge but that discolored with the sun. So, this time around we used a sign that Casey's sister made for us and covered with some outdoor furniture varnish. We love our little man and miss him everyday!
